Apple Sells 3 Million iPads
Apple announced that it had sold 3 million iPads by June 21, some 80 days after the popular device’s release in the United States. In a statement, Apple indicated that the iPad’s gradual international rollout remained on track.

Apple iPad sales continue to soar as over 3 million units have been sold in less than three months. Even though it comes as no surprise the number of purchased iPads is really quite the milestone, especially in such a short period of time.
Sales were already more than impressive before the iPad became available internationally last month. Of course introducing the iPad in a total of 9 more countries at the end of May did boost popularity and overall units sold. Even more impressive is the fact that overall iPad sales have come nowhere near reaching the highest plateau.
In July the iPad will go on sale in yet another 9 countries. This will have another big and positive impact on how many more people will begin using the iPad for everyday tasks as well as entertainment.
Just to give you and idea of how many people are loving this new device, according to Apple over 11,000 new apps have been developed specifically for the iPad since it’s debut. More than 225,000 apps are compatible with iPad and that number continues to grow fast.

Apple announces two millionth iPad sale
It may be a sleepy Memorial Day weekend in the States, but it’s also the iPad’s international launch weekend, and Apple is celebrating. Less than a month after the company hit the coveted one-million mark in iPad sales, Apple announced that it had sold its two millionth iPad.

In less than 60 days over 2 million iPads have been sold. Apple CEO Steve Jobs hasn’t disclosed how many iPads have been sold in which countries but you can bet the recent international launch played a big part in exceeding such a milestone so quick.
In a recent statement Steve Jobs mentioned:
“customers around the world are experiencing the magic of iPad, and seem to be loving it as much as we do”
He also went on to mention how much the company values customer patience while they work hard towards building enough iPads to meet the high global demand for the new device.
In related news the number of apps now available for the iPad is more than 200,000 and growing.
This July the iPad will become available in 9 more countries including other countries later in the year.
